I started plumbing in the Hutt straight out of school in 2010 and went out on my own in 2017. I do all the work myself, no subbies, no chasing apprentices around. That means I can't be in two places at once, but it also means whoever you talk to on the phone is the same bloke turning up at your door.
I carry a fully stocked van so most jobs get sorted in one visit. Quotes are fixed-price for anything bigger than a callout, written down, and signed off before I start. If something turns up mid-job that wasn't in the quote, I stop and we have a chat. No surprise invoices.
